In September, a number of Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge teams gathered in Burnham on Crouch for the #TWAC2020 training camp, run by Atlantic Campaigns and supported by Rannoch Adventure.

The week began on Sunday with a drinks reception at the Royal Burnham Yacht Club, hosted by Talisker Whisky. This gave the teams all a chance to catch up with each other.

From Monday to Thursday the on water training commenced! A jam pack week has ensued with teams catching up with their mandatory on water hours before the race, para anchor drills and anything else they wanted to run over with the coaches.

With the onsite classroom, it was easy for teams to keep to social distancing protocols.  

It has been a fantastic week seeing so many rowers get together before the race, a little slice of normality for the ocean rowing community. We’ve loved every second and are now really looking forward to this years’ race, not long now!
