We are delighted to be able to offer our Isle of Mull Ocean Rowing Adventure to those looking for a unique challenge to fulfil their Residential for the Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Our Isle of Mull Adventure will take place in our 12 person ocean rowing boat, Roxy. With two professional skippers on board, you will undertake long day rows, enjoy outdoor evening activities on land and then wild camp overnight in our yurt.
The Isle of Mull has a fascinating coastline and numerous places of interest to visit. Highlights of any visit to the island include Iona, Fingal’s Cave, the Sound of Ulva, Calgary Beach, Tobermory and the Sound of Mull. We will try and see as much of the island and surrounding lochs as the weather allows us to.
It will be a challenging week and both mentally and physically exhausting. Living in close quarters with other recently befriended rowers in a small vessel and yurt can also be emotionally challenging. However, rowing in the open waters under your own power is a fantastic achievement and you will look back on the adventure with great pride. On the way, you will overcome many challenges, but the memories and friendships made along the way will hopefully last a lifetime.
