My first adventure in an ocean rowing boat back in 2009 turned heads and changed the way boats would handle and perform in serious conditions from then on. Today, we can see those distinguishing design improvements throughout the range of boats available from Rannoch Adventure. The main criteria we regard as instrumental in all our designs have to start with safety, followed closely by reliability, performance and cost. Every boat is lovingly built by the same small team of experts and finished to the very highest standard you would expect from a top luxury car manufacturer.
The R35 is the very latest design to join our stable of thoroughbreds. At the smallest end, the R10 serves our starter solo market and is the highly successful design that launched Rannoch in 2013. The R25 is the record breaking pairs boat that many use as a solo boat too. It holds records on every ocean and is a simple no fuss design that is easily handled by all.
The most well-known boat is the R45, our four-person boat. This true classic is the go-to boat for three, four and five person teams. It is the fastest boat in the world on the Atlantic Ocean and is so popular, the second-hand market is very strong.
We have always thought there would come a time to design and build a specific boat for a three-person team, slightly smaller and lighter than the R45, a little cheaper and hopefully a little faster! It has all the latest developments in design and fitting out and a boat we know will become the go to boat for all three person teams. No frills, just a solid, beautifully built boat that will look after her crew and get them across an ocean in record time!
