This weekend our new 12 man ocean rowing boat, Roxy, took to the water.

And WOW – what a boat she is!

On Friday, she was lifted onto her trailer in the workshop, taken to the boatyard and craned into the River Crouch under Charlie and Mike’s supervision. The whole team assembled on the pontoon for her naming ceremony conducted by Lizzie with champagne in hand. Then it was all aboard for her maiden row before tying her up to a mooring in preparation for her big weekend.

Charlie said:

"Launching our new flagship represents one of the most exciting times in years of ocean rowing for us. This boat is packed with forward thinking and she is really easy to use with loads of room on board. We can’t wait to get her out on an ocean!”
